Lap An Lagoon
Lap An Lagoon, also known as An Cu Lagoon, covers an area of about 800 hectares. It is located near Highway 1A, passing through Lang Co town in Phu Loc district, along the route from Da Nang to Hue. The lagoon sits at the foot of Phu Gia Pass, surrounded by the majestic Bach Ma mountain range on one side, and on the other side, it is bordered by Lang Co Bay, with water as blue as jade.

The lagoon is about a 90-minute motorbike ride from Hue, making it ideal for nature lovers who enjoy immersing themselves in the sea and sky while learning about the life of local fishing communities. You can visit year-round, as the lagoon offers different kinds of beauty depending on the season. For example, when the water recedes, the lagoon’s bottom reveals ivory-colored patches of sand. Besides being a favorite spot for backpackers, it’s also popular with couples for wedding photo shoots.

Not only is it beautiful in sunny weather, but during cloudy, stormy, or heavy rain, the mountains behind the lagoon seem to disappear behind a veil in the vastness. Looking far into the distance, you can see a series of watchtowers appearing and fading, creating an impressive atmosphere.Â
